The 181st Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear response Company, headquartered in Ft. Hood, Texas, took part in Guardian Response 19, a homeland emergency response exercise, which is part of the NORTHCOM exercise Vibrant Response 19, a Defense CBRN Response Force exercise. This exercise tests and stresses the U.S. military’s response to a homeland manmade or natural disaster. Guardian Response is taking place at Muscatatuck Urban Training Center, Indiana.
Go Solar & Start Saving Money!Solar System DesignUsing our enhanced and specialized software, our Design Team can design the best solar system that fits your needs and looks good doing it. If your roof cannot accommodate an adequate system or perhaps it has too much shade, we offer engineered and tailored ground-mounted systems.Residential Photovoltaic SystemsA complete residential Solar System requires multiple components to produce electricity, convert power into alternating current that can be used by appliances, store excess electricity and maintain safety. Keep reading below to learn about the different type of Solar System components.Solar ArrayThe solar array consists of PV modules which convert sunlight into electric energy. The modules are connected in series and/or parallel to provide the voltage and current levels needed. The array is usually mounted on a metal structure, either on the ground or on the roof, and tilted to face the sun.InverterAn inverter is required when you want to power AC devices. The inverter converts the DC power, or direct current, from the solar array and batteries into AC power.Array DC DisconnectThe Array DC disconnect is used to disconnect the solar arrays from the home for maintenance. It is called a DC disconnect because the solar arrays produce DC (direct current) power.Solar Battery StorageSolar power systems produce electricity during the daytime, when the sun is shining. Your home demands electricity at night and on cloudy days – when the sun isn’t shining. To offset this mismatch, batteries can be added to the system.Power OptimizersA power optimizer is a DC/DC converter which is connected by installers to each PV module or embedded by module manufacturers, replacing the traditional solar junction box. The SolarEdge power optimizers increase energy output from PV systems by constantly tracking the maximum power point (MPPT) of each module individually. The power optimizers monitor the performance of each module and communicate performance data to the SolarEdge monitoring portal for enhanced, cost-effective module-level maintenance. Each power optimizer is equipped with the unique SafeDC™ feature which automatically shuts down modules’ DC voltage whenever the inverter or grid power is shut down.Monitoring SystemModule-level, string-level and system-wide PV monitoring is enabled by the SolarEdge power optimizer. Performance of each and every PV module is measured and communicated across existing power lines in order to maximize solar power harvesting at all times and reduce maintenance cost and time. The SolarEdge module monitoring portal allows for enhanced maintenance and yield assurance through module-level performance monitoring, fault detection and automatic alerts localized on a virtual site map for accurate troubleshooting. The monitoring web-based portal can be accessed from any browser or from any Android or iOS (Apple) smart-phone or tablet using the Opera Mobile or Firefox web browsers.
