China to stop building new coal power projects overseas!coal power|low-carbon|Energy|Paris Agreement [Video]

#ChineseNews #Energy #ChinaFocus “China Focus” is a YouTube channel created to provide current events and pop culture headlines from China. Here you can get to know a more real China through my video. |Today, let’s focus on the issue of “China to stop building new coal power projects overseas!”.The mounting calls for China to stop supporting coal power projects overseas have received an answer. Chinese President Xi Jinping announced through a pre-recorded video address to the United Nations General Assembly on 21 September that China “will not build new coal-fired power plants abroad” while at the same time increasing its support for developing countries to pursue green and low-carbon development.Chinese-supported development of coal-fired power overseas has already slowed down in the past five years, thanks to the decreasing competitiveness of coal power compared to renewables and declining appetite from host countries. A report by the Centre for Research on Energy and Clean Air (CREA) shows that close to half of planned and permitted coal power projects with Chinese involvement have been either cancelled or suspended. In 2021 so far, China has not made any new coal investment overseas, except for three supply and engineering contracts that may or may not materialise. Both Japan and South Korea have announced policies for ending public financing support for coal power projects abroad in recent months. With President Xi’s announcement, all major public financiers of the industry have indicated their intention to exit the overseas market in one way or another.Kevin Gallagher, director of the Center for Global Development Policy at Boston University, says China is the first developing country to take such a stance. He is now urging the private sector to follow suit. Thanks for your watching and subscribing.

WEALTH In The Future Starts NOW! Invest In Small Modular Nuclear Reactors Best Uranium Stocks To Buy [Video]

Energy, the next day: Review nuclear energy? Best Uranium Stocks to buyNuclear power has really big problems, which is why many EU countries are shutting down their reactors – but the accelerating pace of climate change is giving rise to second thoughts. There is growing concern in parts of Europe about France, Germany, Spain and Belgium’s plans to shut down 32 nuclear reactors, representing 31.9 GW of CO2-free electricity, by 2035.Growing concerns about the future of energy supply, reflected in the explosion of gas and oil prices, have brought nuclear energy back to the forefront.Raw uranium rose more than $ 48 a pound in mid-October, approaching a nine-year high of $ 50.8 last month, as the ongoing global energy crisis and wider transition from fossil fuels have forced leaders around the world to reconsider nuclear as a clean and banking energy source.France, which gets 70 percent of its electricity from nuclear power, has announced plans to build multiple new, small nuclear reactors that could be exported to its neighbors. Is nuclear energy clean and sustainable?Nuclear power is a clean source of zero-emission energy. It produces energy through fission, which is the process of separating uranium atoms for energy. The heat released by decomposition is used to generate steam that spins a turbine to generate electricity without the harmful by-products emitted by fossil fuels.According to the Nuclear Energy Institute (NEI), the United States avoided more than 476 million metric tons of carbon dioxide emissions in 2019. That equates to removing 100 million cars from the road and more than all other clean energy sources combined. It also keeps the air clean by removing thousands of tons of harmful air pollutants each year that contribute to acid rain, smog, lung cancer and cardiovascular disease.Despite producing huge amounts of carbon-free energy, nuclear energy produces more electricity on less land than any other source of clean air. A typical 1,000-megawatt nuclear plant in the United States needs just over 1 square mile to operate. NEI says wind farms require 360 times more space to produce the same amount of electricity and solar photovoltaic plants require 75 times more space. To put it in perspective, you will need more than 3 million solar panels to produce the same amount of power as a typical commercial reactor or more than 430 wind turbines (capacity factor not included).Nuclear wasteNuclear fuel is extremely dense. Their density is about 1 million times higher than that of other traditional energy sources and because of this, the amount of nuclear fuel used is not that large. All used nuclear fuel produced by the US nuclear industry over the past 60 years could fit on a football field at a depth of less than 10 meters!————————————————————————💚👇AFFILIATE LINKS:📚 The Intelligent Investor Rev Ed.: The Definitive Book on Value Investinghttps://amzn.to/3p8A48r————————————————————————📱 Samsung Electronics Galaxy Note 20 Ultra 5Ghttps://amzn.to/3FJZcZ8————————————————————————💻 2021 Newest Dell Inspiron 3000 Laptophttps://amzn.to/3lGnX0l———————————————————————–🛒 Carhartt Men’s Knit Cuffed Beanie, Black, One Sizehttps://amzn.to/2YQTmVr———————————————————————–⚫PATREONJoin Our Patreon Community and help support this channel…If you want to 😊, or you can just hit the LIKE button which really helps me.
