2022 GMc hummer picup##electric hummerhummer ev#rfactory#car [Video]

#Hummer#carshttps://youtu.be/HACp1nMLeVYHummer (stylized as HUMMER) is a brand of pickups and SUVs that was first marketed in 1992 when AM General began selling a civilian version of the M998 Humvee.[1] Although discontinued in 2010, Hummer returned as a sub-brand of GMC in 2020. In 1998, General Motors (GM) purchased the brand name from AM General and marketed three vehicles: the original Hummer H1, based on the military Humvee, as well as the new H2 and H3 models that were based on smaller, civilian-market GM platforms.HUMMERHummer H3TypeDivisionIndustryAutomotiveFoundedJanuary 22, 1992; 30 years agoJanuary 28, 2020 (Nameplate brand for GMC)DefunctMay 24, 2010 (as a division of GM)SuccessorRevived as nameplate model brand for GMC in 2020HeadquartersDetroit, Michigan, U.S.ProductsH1H2H3H EV (GMC)ParentGeneral MotorsWebsite[1]By 2008, Hummer’s viability in the economic downturn was questioned. Rather than being transferred to the Motors Liquidation Company as part of the GM bankruptcy in 2009, the brand was retained by GM, to investigate its sale. No final deal was made, and in 2010, Hummer dealerships began shutting down.[2][3][4]The nameplate returned to the marketplace for the 2022 model year not as a separate make brand, but as electric pickup truck and SUV models sold under the GMC brand as the “GMC Hummer EV”.[5][6] The pre-production versions of the EV began November 2021 after a $2.2 billion investment to build a variety of all-electric vehicles in GM’s Detroit-Hamtramck assembly plant.[7] factoryMy new car made#ar tournew cars#hummer ev factorySince the top Edition 1 trim has already sold out, we’d recommend the EV3X since that’s the second in line to hit production. Its six-figure price tag includes a lot of the best items offered on the Hummer EV, including an adjustable air suspension, GM’s Super Cruise hands-free driving system, and a giant 13.4-inch infotainment display. The less expensive EV2X and EV2 both have a less powerful two-motor drivetrain and will go on sale in 2023 and 2024, respectively.2022 EV OF THE YEARPresenting Car and Driver’s 2022 EV of the Year2022 Car and Driver EV of the Year ContendersWe Answer the Difficult EV QuestionsEV Motor, Power, and PerformanceFor now, the only powertrain available in the Hummer EV is a setup with three electric motors that makes 1000 horsepower. All-wheel drive is standard, and in our testing, the Hummer EV rocketed to 60 mph in 3.3 seconds thanks to its Watts to Freedom launch control driving mode. While we were wowed by its acceleration performance, we were disappointed by its braking performance. Slowing all the Hummer EV’s mass down to a stop from 70 mph took an extra long 211 feet and repeated runs resulted in noticeable brake fade. Yikes. Maneuverability at low speeds is better than expected, a direct result of the rear-wheel steering system no doubt, but once you’re up and running the Hummer EV is as unwieldy to drive as other lifted brodozers. The Hummer brand died as a part of GM’s bankruptcy restructuring in 2009. Now, the company is bringing the truck back under GMC as a 1000-horsepower all-electric utility vehicle.Though GMC has yet to reveal the Hummer EV in-full, we still know a lot about it based on rumors and official announcements we’ve seen so far. We’ve compiled all that info for you here.YOU’LL BE ABLE TO RESERVE ONE FOR $100Following the Hummer EV’s reveal on October 20, buyers will be able to reserve an example of their own. They’ll be able to choose between four trim levels, and select their preferred dealer, according to Automotive News.GMC says it will detail the trim levels, options, and pricing alongside the truck’s reveal next week.Available features and colors will be announced closer to start of GMC HUMMER EV production.
