Wind Power, Explained [Video]

Wind power is a definition of cheap and clean energy. Working on the wind, it’s not only doesn’t emit any emissions but also makes the fuel price practically zero. It’s one of the fastest-growing renewable energy sources, and for a good reason. But it’s not perfect, and there are plenty of problems that need to be addressed. While the fuel is free, catching it costs taxpayers billions of dollars. There is also an open discussion about what we’ll do with thousands of wind turbines once they reach the end of their lifetime, which is pretty short, about 20 years. However, at the same time, there are still a lot of great things about wind power. I’ll talk about it all in this video.Dispelling The Myths About Nuclear Power: https://youtu.be/mO3FXpe7EM0Fusion Power, Explained. Is Offshore wind the energy of the future? [Video]

Offshore wind farms solve one of renewable energy’s biggest problems: unreliability. With wind almost always blowing on sea, there is no lack of power. But the technology is struggling with a bunch of other hurdles. We’re destroying our environment at an alarming rate. But it doesn’t need to be this way. Our new channel Planet A explores the shift towards an eco-friendly world — and challenges our ideas about what dealing with climate change means. We look at the big and the small: What we can do and how the system needs to change. Every Friday we’ll take a truly global look at how to get us out of this mess.#PlanetA #Offshore #Energy0:00 Intro0:43 Advantages offshore wind energy3:54 The grid problem5:28 Expensive offshore wind7:38 The space problem 9:03 Environmental concerns12:18 Floating Windfarms13:01 ConclusionReport: Kai Steinecke Kamera: Henning Goll Video Editor: David JacobiSupervising Editor: Joanna Gottschalk
